I am fairly new to Fords, so I dont purport to be any kind of authority on the matter, but when I pulled out my original AU1 cluster and put in the AU2 one, everything worked well except for the oil gauge and trip computer data. It appears that the trip computer data is generated by the cluster and not the
BEM as the AU1 cluster has a trip computer transmit data output pin. There seems to be very little information on the AU2/3 clusters. With regard to the oil gauge, it appears to be a glorified ohm meter that just measures resistance to ground. I dont want to start jumpering pins to work out which one is the oil pin. The cluster I have is in mint condition and I dont want to blow it up for the sake of finding out which pin is the oil sensor pin.
