Yeah, there was some really strange decisions being made in late FG, early FG MK II. For the wheels/tyres/suspension, I think it centered around a calibration thing with the DSC and tyre size, rationalizing the spec was obviously cheaper. That changed when 18-inch wheels and tyres became the standard XR spec. Also keep in mind this was around the time some very big decisions were being made about the future of local production.
The FG XR6 Limited Edition was available from July 2011 and offered in Ute and Sedan. The Ute actually got B-series F6 wheels for some reason, I guess they had a bunch of leftovers?
