I have a group of mates like this,
We met on another forum two of us organised a garage crawl and invited a heap of others that finished at a country pub
From that 4 of us became great mates, a few years later one of the guys organised a regular Friday night pizza thing and again we collected a few more.
Now we have a about 8 - 10 depending on who's available
