No disclaimer at the front of the book is going to make me throw my arms in the air and say "Oh well, we don't have it: bad luck". We're not talking about a gimmick here, we're talking about a genuine safety feature.

Have to agree with this as a safety feature. There have been quite a few recent instances of car-jacking in Australia recently. Think it would be especially helpful for females or particularly with anyone with children or babies in the vehicle.
