Same here...i started my 4 days off 2 hours ago... and i'm gunna enjoy every minute of it unless of course the stupid council workers that ripped up the streets phonelines last saturday do it again tomorrow. They are laying down pipes for a town water supply : think i'll stick to what falls from the sky. All their machinary is actually parked on my front and side nature strips at this very moment. :evil3: ready for an early start in the morning. Could be fun with a belly full of rum, tis cold tonight prepare to feel the becoming numbness of my now half empty bottle of rum.

Enjoy the long weekend all :sm_headba

Yeah my Dad has that problem. He works two jobs, one 5 days a week and the other a long way away on Saturdays. Come home on Sundays and then cops it from my Mum all day Sunday when he just wants to sit and watch footy etc... she nags him to do all sorts of things.

My Mum decided to retire early and sits at home all day doing nothing and lives off my Dad. He prefers to work than to be home with her.

Sounds like my parents. My Dad offered mum her own shop. He had the premises, he'd set it up, she could do anything she wanted, and all the profit from it was hers after buying stock and basic expenses.
She told him she'd think about it and let him know after the wedding.

Once they were married he asked her what she wanted to do, and she told him she "didn't get married to work".

She has been sitting at home doing SFA for 28 years or so now. She drives voth of us up the wall. Hence the reason Dad won't come home until mum is asleep.

Thanks mate. Hehe. Yeah he is cute. Toby is now 8 weeks old. He is happy, fat and sleeps through the entire night (11pm to 7.30am.. that'll do me!). Is very close to double his birthweight now (3.50kg born to 6.30kg now). Next time you see Eamon (Cobra) post, have a look at his new avatar! Haha.

I wish you could meet him and tell him how to do it! I have been trying for years. I guess he will do it in his own time. All I can do is always be around for him to talk to, have him over for dinner and beers all the time and spend time with him so he can get away and see his beloved grandkids.

Gerardine, it sounds quite similar, doesnt it? Chics like my Mum make me so mad.

Well, I've got an exam on monday

I love Monash, and how they observe public holidays! I also love how Monash can repaint their reception areas every six months (and constant landscape gardening projects are on the go), but cannot afford a CCTV camera in a spare computer lab which students would very much like to use (rather than hang around outside the computer lab next to it which is full of science students on ebay or MSN)***, and they cannot afford those little yellow cakes for the urinals, meaning the toilets smell like a greek deli sufferning from refrigeration problems on a hot day.

*** Never mind the fact I'm on AFF most of the time! But AFF is more importenterest mostly much.

Quote:
What car? I have no car :P
lol I should try that one next time the blokes at uni point at me as their chauffer for KFC runs... Speaking of KFC runs, the toilets smell like that too, damn incompetant (incontinent? :P) Monash budgeteers!
