Hi, I have a 2010 fiesta and the up/down volume controls on the steering wheel only just work if I pretty much push my thumb through the steering wheel!
How do I go about opening it up and cleaning the buttons contacts, or should I just replace the cluster with a new/used one? Cheerz |

You cannot open it up. It's a sealed unit.
We had the same issue with our WT and had it replaced under warranty. Do not do this yourself if you do not have the skills. Even the Ford dealer stuffed the repair up and damaged the airbag. Which they had to replace. |

Ok. Thanks for the advice. Might just put up with it for the time being. Was definitely going to disconnect the battery in case the airbag decided to pop! Lol

I don't think the airbag popped.
If I remember right they damaged the connections somehow. Said they were very fragile. |
