When I click on the link, it says page does not exist, so I am assuming the Bushman went walkabout!

I find these "found" cars to be just as interesting as the concourse ones.

What a cracking story. There was a similar car to that in a recent issue of Australian Muscle Car in Wild Violet.

I always find "as found" or "totally original" cars way more interesting than "better than new" resto jobs.

Totally agree with this, there also seems to be more history attached to these kind of cars as well. Like they said in the story " You only have an original car once, but you can restore as many times as you like"

For me at least, once I've seen one XW/XY Falcon GT, I've seen them all. They are all the same, always spotless and meticulously maintained, not much individuality between them - but this, this is something different. That car's got real character that it has inherited from it's former owner. Great story.

The "red" one is actually Bronze Wine in colour and is in the last pictures of this story.

IMO the car should at least be cleaned properly and then presented as is.

On a side note the wrecked upside down car that is claimed to be a Phase 3 is definatly not a Phase 3. I wonder if the bushman got ripped off and the car was being passed off as a HO. This was not uncommon back in the day and easily done by adding some spoilers and a glovebox sticker to an XY GT.

Great story!!!
