Hi All
as you all know i have v6 gt capri 1972 model...i bought a billet oil cap from burtons power looks nice and all . just like to know it has a breather pipe on the side of the cap does that go into the air cleaner by running a hose to each other , or run it to bottom of motor please advise me if anyone knows more about this.. cheers |

Pretty sure it goes to the air cleaner. The oil breather pipe on the oil cap is (usually?) for ventilating crankcase gases, which are taken to the air cleaner to be sucked into the engine & burnt.

Check the rocker cover and see if it already has the ventilation hose. If it has then just block the one on the oil cap. Because engines never had overflow drains. If the rocker cover doesn't have vent bypass hose then it goes into the air intake hose between throttle body and air cleaner not into the air cleaner exactly.
