On the road today I saw a stock-standard Honda Odyssey with a 'Type R' badge on it : . Didn't know they made an Odyssey Type R :hihi:

Just because you drive a certain type of vehicle, it doesn't mean you're particularly loyal to it. I drive a TX5 but would have a Commodore over a Falcon. PS Don't kill me lol.

Thats right. I had a nice VL Commodore, but i'd get out of my car at Bathurst for 1000 with Ford gear on from head to toe. People ask me, "Oh, so you like Ford now?". I say no, I always liked Ford, i just dont drive one yet. When it comes to road car, I love both Ford and Holden. I think they both make some great cars, but when it comes to motorsport, im a Ford man TO THE BONE!! :eclipsee_

I used to to get a new company car every 2 years. The company H.O. was in Sydney and as I live on the Gold Coast I handled the purchases up here. In 1991, the EA S Pack I was driving (always bought Fords) was due for trade in and the local dealer told me there was a new EB model S Pack coming called an XR8. This sounded OK to me so I ordered it. Now, company policy was NO V8's, so when it came I got the hair dryer and removed the V8 badges and stuck them on the wife's bog standard Corona.
Every time she parked it somewhere she'd get comments like "howd you fit a V8 in that?" and was always being asked to lift the bonnet.

I saw a riced up Honda CRX with NISMO plastered across the back window. I told the driver what NISMO was and he looked destroyed then told me to ИИИИ off.

I reckon its more than likely a company car... A ford person forced into a Holden. I know how it feels my last company car was a Holden and whilst I hated every second of driving around in the thing (actually it wasn’t that bad!:O ) it was a free car - with a fuel card - Hello! And YES I had a Ford sticker on the back of my commodore company car - think it was a SBR sticker actually!

I doubt it. If you were that high up in the company to be able to have a Statesman as a company car then surely you would be able to choose any car you wanted.

Not if the company has a contract with certain brands.......which is generally the case in MOST companies, they either buy Fords, Holdens, Mitsubishi's etc.....
The person working for the company doesn't actually get the say until it comes to CEO's, directors etc renewing contracts for a set time!!!!!!

I saw a Ford with Holden badges on the boot in the car park at work once. Took a pic and posted it up here. Looked stupid.
