Default Problem: Audio volume fading in and out!!!

Hi all,

I just helped to convince my sister to buy a new black Fiesta Zetec. Lovely little car but it's only 3 days in and we are noticing problems with the audio system.

Basically 2 things:

1) The volume level is fading in and out! If we set it to the desired volume, it'll get louder and louder then get softer again. Not a drastic change but it's definitely fading the volume up and down on CD's as well as the radio.

2) When we start the car, turn the key the speakers make a loud popping noise. PAM! Like that.

Are any of you having these problems too? Looks like we have to take it back to the dealer!!! Any help would be appreciated.
