Diesel or electric, 1.7km long coal trains, for QR. Love the diesels! 4000 and 4100 class locomotives, two in the front, two remotes half way alongthe train, each fitted with a 140 liter V12 two-stroke turbocharged diesel putting out 4000hp and a huge top end rev limit of 900rpm...awesome!
AWESOME! is 4000 Total HP? or for EACH engine?

I work full time on the Queenscliff Manly ferry.
not sure of size in litre's.. huge probably!! engine is 3 mtre's tall and about 5.5 metres long.
turbo unit is 80cm across (outer housing)
Straight 8 turbo diesel. x2
3000 Hp at a mind numbinng "V tec just kicked in YO! 600RPm.
15.5 knots top speed on 1 engine.
18 knots on both engines.
Weight of the manly ferry is 1000 tonnes. or 1000 hyundai excells!. lol

Both engines running means slightly more pitch on the proppeller and 20 more prop RPM's per min.
