IGNORE THAT LAST COMMENT.
oooo if that is your first car, i dont like to be the bad sport, but the insurance will kill you man. and vic roads will be all over u with the roadworthy side, and the power to weight ratio. its a good show car, but u couldnt drive it all the time, mainly for calder park though!!!

and forget n e thing bout the ea being a dud car, i find it a great model, uve just gotta keep the sevices up to scratch, and watch the head gasket and youll be fine, anyways, most of the duds have already died, and the ones that are left have mostly been looked after.
the car with all the gear above, that u are looking at, the engine would be nackered from racing

Hi Guys, Ray here (owner of this car)...
Phat Ford, if you want to talk about anything over the phone which would be easier then you can do so just tell me in here cos then i can get off the net (dialup) or can call my mobile. Im not sure if the carsales ad has my reason for sale but i am now working for the Army and leave again on the 2nd of January for a month+ so am keen to see her go to a ford fan of some nature instead of sit in the shed with dad starting her up every 2 or 3 days. As it says in the ad, everything has been done to the car, being 17yrs old it isnt perfect and not near 'show' condition. And as the dyno readout proves, its still got the mumbo for a 17yr old car as the dyno was only performed a few months ago at an all ford dyno day. The km's are a 'problem', although you will have to take my word for it that it has only done nearly 40,000km since the engine work was performed. Please if you want to talk about anything, price, want more pics, you can email me or chat to me on msn rayosnos09 at hotmail.com cheers dude |

6 and a half g's will buy u a el fairmont! theres a few going around, i got mine, ef2 ghia, lowered, 17" au2 xr's, mirror tint, rebuilt motor, new pullys, premo sound, RWC for 8100. 6500 will buy u at least an ed with a few mods. id go the ghias cuz they have all the toys eg cruise, elec windows, mirrors etc. you prolly dont want something with alot of power cuz u will end up what i did and do a 180 into a ditch, not fun! but dont jump at the first thing u see cuz u will regret it a week later wen u see the car of ur dreams in the paper :P

have a look in the auto trader
http://www.autotrader.com.au/ for that money you could stumble upon an ED XR6, might burn you on insurance though best of luck with your search

Hi all i have only joined the forums recently, but have been viewing on and off for a while now. The best place to buy a car is at the auctions, run the risk of a rew minor probs as there is no road test only a writen report, but generally pretty good. I am currently converting a 98 NL Concord to manual, any one interested in some pics

Personally, I'd forget it. Looks like alot of work has been put into the car, but its still an EA *AND* with nearly 300,000k's. If it did'nt have the extra mods you could'nt even give the car away.
$6500 will see you in a near perfect EF-EL with low K's. An demonstrably better car in every way.
