Default 73 escort 4door buyer

can some one help me with finding a VIN decoder for the 73. and i also need help with finding a gearbox to suit v4 in the scort

Good luck. I've been looking for a V4 bell-housing for 5 years. The V4 was never an option for the Escort, so you would need to chase down one from a Capri in NZ or a Cosair in Australia. They were in some early transits but most were junked in favour of holden straight 6's

my escort finally turned up on the weekend its just as good as i thought it would be. the 1300 is stuffed and there is more rust than i thought there would be but the cars interior is great 4 me. my first car is PERFECT. cant wait for the v4 need a supra/celica gearbox . I LUV MY CAR
