Default Great, just before the up and coming cruises/meets and this happens!

And just after I gave her a wrap in that "how good does your missus drive" thread she goes and does this to me!

Not happy Jan! I haven't tried to clean or buff it yet, so it looks alot worse than it really is.

The paint I really dont care about as its getting resprayed next year, but of all the places she had to hit a pole it was the dog leg!

Has anyone done this before? How much did it set you back? Ill get some qoutes next week or something I guess, to busy with uni at the moment.

Gotta hate that. Looks bad in the photos, but as you said, a lot of it could buff out

I'm unsure on the dogleg damage, but the door will buff out (and apply chipstick touchup paint and bugger your elbow and fingertips buffing/polishing it).

I managed to scrape my rear passenger door badly (20x40cm rectangle scrape) and just spent ages applying touchup paint and buffing/polishing like mad. No-one notices it now (when the car is actually clean and in daylight), and the black paint wasn't a 100% match with the car either :P

^^^ This was three years ago.

yep....door damage is easy, its when its in the dogleg that it becomes expensive..... thats if you want it repaired properly...... (which i'd gather ya would)

it "can" be pulled out as much as possible and filled with bog, but thats just dodgy

Yeah if it was the old EA then Id be bogging it...lol

My brother is a sprayer, so I might take it around to his work soon. Maybe one of his mates can help me out.

If I go the insurance route, would they spray the whole car, or just the door and rear?

Whats your favorite dish?

rear door, dogleg (and maybe quarter) and blend it in

Bugger. I feel your pain. That is almost identical to the damage from my accident 2 months ago. Cost (Shannons) over $1200. They sprayed both doors, dogleg, quarter and side of the bumper. Perfect job. EL was stinky for a couple of weeks from the rust-proofing. Got a few compliments from the blokes that did it too.

Bugger, I feel your pain as well. I had an accident friday night on the way to the eseries camp but I did a better job, I didnt just scrape the rear door and dog leg but bent the chassis rail 3 inches. It is now a write off. What is it with accidents lately damn it. All the best buddy and I hope it all works out. The rear door will come out for sure and the dog leg may come out but the dint will stay

Bloody hell. That's gotta hurt. I hope you find a replacement worthy of the original.

Yeah what is it with Heritage Green ELs? Did anyone cop damage before mine (in August)?

Well got my first qoute today, $500 just for the panel repair. Yikes!

This is what sucks though, my excess is $450, and apparently with RACV because I am under 25 I will owe them another $400.

So what I might do is for now polish and buff it up, then get a full respray very early next year. It was so nice and straight...ah well.

haha at Damo.

So where is she living now? I hope you banned her from driving again.

Try and buff it out and see how it goes. All the white crap will probably come off and it wont look as bad.
