Oh and I never claimed I was very good or my personal ride. Just that i'd be very suprised if you could find a Ford for half the money that I could spend on a GTR that would beat it round a race track.

The supercharger was designed in the US too but I guess you'll be finding that out for yourself.

TVR's in general are very unreliable. However, a better comparasin is the Honda S2000. With it's very high power-per-litre and it is one of the most reliable engines in one of the most reliable cars available today. So there is no reason a high-revving VVT engine cannot be reliable.

Does lack a lot of torque though...

There's nothing wrong with american muscle and aussie ingenuity, but why don't we have more of it is what i'm saying. Everyone knows that ford is capable of doing it so now lets see it

Ford could bring out a 400kw XR6 Turbo tommorow and by Wednesday I'd be putting an exhaust on it, we have an incredible base to build on.

R34 GTSvs XR6T both stock:

Ford building "R" version of an F6 with Territory AWD platform would be a better comparison.
Still the XR6t holds it's own for a Turbo "Taxi".

Truth is that the ford 4.0 six cylinder engine had the potential for 220 -230 rwkws from factory but ford simply have not done it. Compared to some German engineered cars they are still in the dark ages with regards to performance on this motor.

Then your gonna have to put the rest into weight reduction, springs, shocks, brakes, transmission, diff gears etc to get it to even keep up around the corners. Then your gonna have to trailer it to and from the track because its going to cost you $3000 for an emissions test to get it road legal.

In fact you can buy a worked road legal GTR with rego and roadworthy in brisvegas for $17,500 so sorry bud you only got $8750 now to kick my ****, lol. http://www.carpoint.com.au/used-car/...d/2276074.aspx
Champ..dont put your foot right in it.GTR is an awesome car but its not unbeatable. With 8 k worth of superchrger or turbo in the wagon and I guarantee you ill leave the gtr for dead in a straight line but turning is another story.

So what we have here is a school kid drooling over a tired old ricer skyline, How are you going to finance it? HECS?
This track event, will you need a permission slip or do you have to wait for a non school day?

Well spr, COTY 2007 is not far away and you are a definite contender.....

Worst thread ever..LOL

The Aussie I6, for the amount of $$ per kw, is exceptional. And also remember that the falcon, at the moment, is only sold in small markets. The majority of its competitors are world wide cars that have a much bigger budget.

Ford Oz has done very well.
