hey guys, ive got an EL monty, mods so far are R6 cam, crane valve springs, rollmaster cam gear, 2 1/2 inch lukey system (put off extractors cuz may be goin turbo), EL GT intake, k&n filter and shiftkit.... i want to know if there would be a significant increase in power if i added bigger injectors, fuel pump and regulator to this setup? and would the stock ECU adjust to the new fuel system?

bigger injectors would definately help if you are going to turbo it.

no it would not. u would run very rich down low i would say. but run fine at WOT.

Should make a nice little power gail and u might notice the fuel bill go up a bit to. But hey with perfomance comes money.

Put it on the dyno and see what the problem areas are before upgrading anything, as said i agree abd suspect you will run rich and achieve very little except more fuel usage, a rising rate fuel reg set more towards top end could be a better option.

You could do the fuel pump and fuel reg now, but the ecu wont like the bigger injectors. You need a fuel pressure gauge so that you can set your max fuel pressure with the new adjustable reg.

yeh there is no prob with the fuel system now i was just lookin at more performance, and if the ECU wont adjust and run too rich, i dunno... instead of gettin a full plug and play ECU, can u get a cheaper tunable chip that would suit this, rather then fork out for a new Haltech or wolf?

Rollin went from an XR Fuel reg to a standard reg, and picked up 19 RWHP. He was changed while he was getting his car dynoed.
Too much fuel will lose you HP. I would hold off putting in larger injectors until you actually have the turbo comfortably nestled next to the right front shock tower. screw you too for getting a turbo. :P

thanks guys, well i might see if i can get chiptorque to get the right amount of fuel to air so it aint runnin too rich or lean...thanks everyone for your help, fourms are great lol ;)
