Bec has been around arab's all her life ... although the little arabian riding ponies are all the rage and get good money for them ... also crossing Arabs with big Warmbloods is another big thing (literally). We enquired about a service fee to a Warmblood Stallion ... and they wanted $5000 ... DAMN ... I don't think so.

Although I find the Dressage Championships much better to go an see ... all good fun.

After moving out of the metro area ... I was much happier. I doubt I'll move back into the suburbs again ... I like it out where I am ... and Camden is the same as well. The Oaks is a bit further out ... but away from all it all as well .. I was looking originially around Orangeville myself for property ... but settled on Kurrajong.
We both know the real reason for living in these areas - more room to play with our utes! and you can wash with a pressure hose all you like if your on tank water!

I've never been into watching shows much but the GF is into cutting and having watched a little bit of it, I can say its growing on me but not the same as a good bull ride!

When she has the rest of her dentistry tools (they have to come from the USA), I will let you know.

She also has some good friends who breed arabs. I'll get back to ya on what they have available.

hee hee ... I still don't waste my tank water on the ute though ... although I have the damn hooked up to a few taps around the property ... so when it gets really bad I blast it from the average dam water.

Other that than ... I pay someone else to wash the ute ... because I am lazy. :hihi:

Well ... just received news from the in-laws ... their agistment property/business has been quarantined for 50 days ... they are right on the Gt Western Highway next to the M7 .. about 1km from the quarantine station itself .... so far 22 horses have the flu there.

So my wife and I can't visit her parents really ... and her parents have to literally clean and disinfect themselves as soon as they leave home, etc. What a pain.

Now the government is saying that anything within a 10km radius of the quarantine station will not be allowed to have anything equine again ... ever.

So much for the Sydney International Equestrian Centre ... no more horses events there again. Will see how that one goes ... but the in-laws will be sueing for damages/loss of business/livelihood due to the quarnatine station letting it out in the first place.

Really ... the government should be moving the quarantine station elsewhere ... my in-laws have been living where they have been longer than the quarantine station has been.

Oh well ... the next 50 days with no extra income for them is not going to be easy ... at least no one can leave with their horses though ... so the current boarders are stuck there.
