Smile Early Christmas Pressy for me

Well as some of you may know Jesse girl, Kevs other half won a hot lap at Winton with Jason Bright from Britek motor sport .but with a bit of bad luck on her part and Kevs they couldn"t make it : how ever I could : .. so as I had a trip to Brissy on monday anyway I decided to make a small detour to Winton raceway .My taxi was a new 10tonne prime mover so it made for quite a entrance as it turns out they are sponserd by the owner of the truck anyway and just wanted to keep it for there own.. will post up some pickys when I get home .. as for the day its self what a blast they had both cars out and running full noise .no holding back with the rev limiter popping on more than one occasion I ended up with Marcos marshall in the Irwin tools car .. got to have a good yack to Brighty and co. too what a cool bunch of blokes and gals .. having been around a few quwick cars in my day the speed and noise wasn"t a issue the harder the better : what was a surprise is the heat in side these things all wrapped in my flame proof suit and gear you nearly melt . the harshness of the gear box was also a surprise you litterally have to punch it into every gear. lifting it over the ripple strip in turn 3 was fun as was the sheer force these things can stop from 200+ks, the precision these guys aim there car lap after lap is amazing watching there footwork and gear shifting is mind blowing all in all what a awesome experiance Thanks heaps Jese girl and Britek motorsport, and forty2 the promotor of the competion (will get the pickys up soon as I get out of this stupid Brissy airport) The down side 1 out lap and 1 hot lap aint nearly enough

Sorry for the delay getting back to you had to go back to Brissy again : (least they got good puters in the virgin lounge )
the out rite speed as in 0 to the next corner is about on par with a blown Boss or Turbo (with out the lag) or them other Ls1 things ware they are streets ahead is the gear ratios they just snap 1 2 3 4 5 in seconds with only a minimal drop in rpms between shifts, then go full tilt at the corner stomp on the picks and turn in snag another gear all one motion .that was the best part for me, I would guess trying that in my XR would result in me barrell rolling into next week :eclipsee_ :Reverend: :eclipsee_ . the down side the ride to Brissy afterwards in my 100kph speed limited truck took for ever . Next thing to try is the V8 drive day at Calder .I know there only noisey painted up XRs but should be fun any how ..

I met Jason one night at the FDC for a members function, very nice bloke and a very talented steerer. I hope his team is able to push higher up the field this year, had he stayed with FPR he'd have challenged for the championship no doubt.
