A few minutes spare today, so in went a Pioneer 212 sata DVD combo drive.
Then while I decide on the PSU, I wired up all I could at this stage. Have my eye on a cpu too. Intel QX9650. Wait and see on that. |

A few steps closer now. Power supply is in, a Thermaltake Toughpower 850 watt modular.
Then added 2 x 320gb Western Digital SATAII hdd's for use in a RAID 0 setup. And a Pioneer Blu Ray combo drive. High Definition movies on my 24" widescreen monitor... Woohoo... |

Just did a 2 hour stint on Need For Speed Pro Street. 1920 x 1200 res and all details in high. Anti-aliasing at 4x. Ran glitch free and realtime. And the system fans didn't even speed up. One word....Nice!

Another 3 hours on Pro Street, and the system is at 47 celsius. Cpu at 30 celsius. Overclocking the cpu from 3ghz to 3.46ghz. 100% stable.
Happy munchkin!!! : |

I have now tweaked this Intel E8400 cpu to 3.6ghz as I had hoped to. And it doesn't even seem to affect it. Nothing has glitched thus far, and I recommend this cpu to anyone wanting to overclock. I will go Quad Core later, but only when the price comes down. 5.8 in the Windows Experience score, and that is the cpu. All other scores are at 5.9, the max value available.

Crysis installed yesterday, and playing in max widescreen resolution 1440 x 900 and all settings maxed out. Plays sweet, and graphics are mind blowing. Gotta love grunt.
