Default Wats the difference between a 2.5 inch and 3 inch exhaust?

Ok i have an AU XR8 witha 3 inch full lukey system, just wandering if i made a good choice.. Wats the differences between the two sizes (power, sound, low, midrange, etc)

well i was gunna be a smart **** and say 12.7 mm, but i think for an 8, 3" would be the go. i'm not the best to comment though.

My first thought too - and it's a little more than that! 1/2" to be exact.

Some claim that a 2.5" single system produces more torque low down compared to a 3" on a stockish windsor, others claim that the 3" gives better high rpm power and torque. I have had both, and for mine, I'd go 3" every day of the week, but 2.5" is nearly as good, so don't worry too much which way you went.
