I. RELEASE DRIVE BELT TENSIONER AND REMOVE THE DRIVE BELT.
(drive belt tensioner is the alloy coloured lever system on the right side of the engine looking at it from the front)
2. Disconnect pump hoses and drain fluid into a drain tray then plug the hoses and pump to prevent entry of foreign matter.
3. Remove the retaining nut and bolts securing the pump to the bracket and remove pump from the vehicle.

Installation............

1. Position pump in mounting bracket and tighten bolts ....all finger tight at first then progressively tighten to 47newton metres of torque.
2. Install fluid lines to pump and tighten hose clamps, etc.
3. Instal drive belt and release tensioner.
(make sure belt is aligned correctly on pulley ribs......there should be a sticker under bonnet showing correct path of belt around the various pulleys)
4. Fill pump resevoir with power steering fluid.
5. Perform bleeding procedure and check to ensure there are no leaks.

( I've always just sat in car, engine on, and turn the wheel from left to right to left again several times till it feels like the wheel has "normal" power assist)

Cheers Keith
