That's what happens when you order them in a batch and the car they go on doesn't sell....

I think the wheels look quite good on the falcon. As for the car, well its a dealer special. They can and do pretty much whatever they want in this area, though some dealers with packages that 'devalue' certain models sometimes get a phone call questionig what is going on from head office....

You can get XR6s for $26k these days. I don't know why anyone would spend that amount on an XT if you can get an XR or G6 for the exact same price.

I like it.

Have a look at the Bayford Website they are 2008 XT's with between 30-40 thousand kays. Not sure If Id pay that money for a 2nd hand XT, but its a great way for the dealer to get some extra dough for some fleet cars.

Damned if you do damned if you don't.
Good on Bayford I say, they are having a go at moving some cars that seem to be good value.

Holy crap, if they had those deals going when I got my car last year, I would have saved up the extra $6000 and bought one :(

No it's not. The Cobra was done from the factory. This is just a dealer special. Yes, you are right that the cobra was done to sell the remaining hardtops, however this XT will have nowhere near the appeal that the Cobra has. If you rang Ford they wouldn't even know of this FG 'Venom'. To them it's just an XT. Good deal all the same!

Like i said, those wheels look pretty darn good on that XT indeed. I'm a bit of a cheapskate so i'd buy one. Why not? Sure its an XT (but you could put a XR6 front end on it or even G series) but other than that is looks ok. Change the suspension to XR, update the interior a bit (leather wheel....) and bob's your uncle. Sure the $36k G6 limited edition still wins overall for value, but at $30k modded that is still a great looking car. ANd it woud go well too....

I like it. Like someone pointed out before, more dealers should take the initiative and put together clean decent looking cars with a neat factory look. Its much better than what a lot of dealers do and just bang on flashy cheap 19-20" rims and up the price $3-4k.

While we're at it, I'd like to see dealers upgrading intakes on the XTs with XR6T and F6 intakes just for giggles, a 2.5" exhaust and now you've got a " limited edition " dealer pack thats got the performance edge over the XR6 NA.

Why would you do that when you can get a G6 or XR6 (some with premium sond) for the EXACT same price?

i reckon its not a bad gig. If you were looking to buy and XT and this was sitting next to it for nearly the same price?? no way you would get an XT is there. Smart move by the dealer really, buy a heap of rims in bulk cheaply, chuck them on some standard falcons and make a bit of $$$ on each one
