Angry Bloody mower

Was mowing the lawns today ready for moving back to SA next weekend and after I finished I discovered the rear drivers side window on the wagon busted, BUGGA!!. Not the door mind you but the luggage area window. This is the last thing I need what with moving next sunday so does anyone out there happen to have a wagon left rear window you would like to sell me pronto cos I cringe at the thought of what the local dealer will slug me and the only wrecking yard in town doesn't have a wagon to speak of. I need it by thursday for fitting by friday or it's going to be a very drafty trip back to SA.

Cheers

Cardboard or MDF cut to shape and gaffa taped would do the trick at a pinch.

No worries JC cheers, I used to be a glazier back in the day and spent hours crawling all over mine tippers and monster loaders etc. repairing the windows so I know there's plenty of ways to fill the hole but none of them are a preferred first option if you know what I mean. Right now it's being held together by the tint film on the inside and one big piece of clear contact on the outside. It's the first time I've tried this so it'll be interesting to see if it lasts.

Cheers

Hi GasO, no mate, I haven't done anything yet, it only happened about 4 o,clock. O'briens did both windscreens for me last week so I was going to get him to fit it no matter what but I thought I'd see if anyone has one they'd sell before I start calling around on Monday. I'm on a pretty tight budget as it is and another hit to the wallet right now is going to hurt, I didn't need this a week before moving 1700km.

Fully comp with a free windscreen every year if I want it, but I used up that option last week and got my new screens for the drive home cos we're driving into a setting sun and there's nothing worse than a road rashed windscreen. I'll have to pull our policy and see if we can get it replaced that way but I've got a $250 excess so it might not be worth a claim if I have to pay that. This is my first busted side/back window ever so I don't know what to expect except that it'll probably be half a weeks wages if I have to pay for the whole thing new, I hope I'm wrong, lol.

Is it a flat glass or curved?

Curved. It has the same profile as all other AU side windows so filling the hole with somethig flat like MBF won't work real well without alot of 100MPH tape and I don't like that thought at all, all that glue residue to remove afterwards.

No, I was thinking that maybe they could cut one, but if it's curved....bugger.
