Default V8 Capri Street Reg

Hey Folks, just thought I'd put this up real quick.

Anyone looking to rego there V8 Capri in Vic I'd like to suggest Paul Bottomley in Thomastown, he's a registered VASS inspector and I just got mine done their.

Unfortunately he advised me just today that mine would likely be the last to go through under the old rules, not sure what changes are coming in place but no doubt he'd be able to outline any changes under the new system. It's still possible to get them fully street reg'd but they now require a few more things be done, for example collapsible steering columns and engine capacities, from my understanding a 289 may still be possible under the new rules but best to check.

His contact details are:
Paul Bottomley
Automotive Performance Solutions
9466 4222

I've already asked if he'd mind me putting up his details and he was fine with it, besides he's on the signatoies scheme database for anyone to find anyway. However I thought I'd put in a recomendation for anyone looking to get this done, like I always say you look after those that look after you, and Paul and the crew certainly did that. Friendly, courteous service and he went out of his way to get me info even before I'd taken the car to him.

Again this is a referal based on my personal experience and the service provided, on a side note anyone heading their might like what they see lurking in the shadows

Paul's a top bloke. Had a few dealing with him over the years as we are both Escort/Capri nuts. I thought he bought Roaring 40s and gave away dealing with the little guys (with no money). Might have to give him a call regarding my Zetec conversion.

Ye the 40s are what lurk in the shadows LOL, well he seemed to be pretty open to mine, then again mine doesn't need much so maybe being an easy one he was ok. As for no money, well not sure about that lol.

Ye top bloke, doesn't mind a chat, didn't realise he was a Capri nut though, that might explain his willingness to look the car over, but ye top bloke and the staff as well. He did mention though that he had a nuber of mates looking to reg similar cars and mine would be a bit of a test case for him, so that might be another reason he was quite willing to do it. Either way I'm glad I got refered to them.

Very helpful, two thumbs up.
