From what I've heard to make a reliable 347 is 8-10 grand or a not so reliable one about 4-5 just what I've heard I have no experience or expertise at all

What is your budget? Expectations?
A GOOD setup will cost upwards of 15k with new parts, or could look at a long engine from the likes of fordstrokers.com Or could just leave top end as is and just stroke it, power wouldn't be in the same ballpark though.. Remember stock blocks are good for 400rwhp max (safely), so if you want more then invest in an aftermarket block.. Check the windsor section for some ideas..
