Default Suspension Noise??????

I have taken my car to get this noise checked out which appears to be coming from the rear. I recently had Ultralows installed.
They rang and said it was either the top mounts or the shocks.
Does this sound right??? Problem is what if i fix the mounts only and leave the shocks and the noise is still there. Then im up for more $$$$ on labour.
Are these hard to change yourself. My Bro is the mechanically minded one Im the penpusher.

Sorry I wasn't able to help as I hadn't come across the problem myself before.

Was it a squeak or a groan?

When I put XR coils on my Forte, as soon as I started driving I noticed a clunk in the rear end. I did everything by the book, tightened everything up to specs etc.
Traced the noise(s) to two sources. One is the bottom mount which I reckon when I removed the bolt and then reinserted, the rubber mount must have moved or something because it now rattles and clunks even though its secure. Second noise is from one of the shocks which I think is stuffed and the new ride height has shown this up. I know it's not the colis because they are all seated correctly and with rubber ends all in place. What am I going to do? Replace all the shocks in one go.

Spot on it is either the top mounts or the shocks. So i have decided to get both changed, dont know why i didnt do it straight away when i had the car lowered becuase i had short shocks put in the front.
Anyway short shocks will go on (Durashock) and the mounts changed.
i will let you know if it has fixed the problem it wont happen til next week though.

GTHOXR8,

Suppose thats the price we have to pay for going so low.
Still all worth it I reckon.
