Error P269F Focus Titanium Diesel 2.0

Got an issue with error Code on my Focus Titanium 2 L turbo, Have plugged in my Bluetooth OBD2 connector .
Shows P269F - Exhaust Aftertreatment Glow Plug Cirsuit/ Open
Have reset the Codes and its back again so Where do I start.
Has anyone had same issue.
Not to keen on the Local Ford Dealer due to him been a jerk etc..
Is there a Way I can Check the DPF Glow Plug to see if its working ok ?
I have Multimeters etc just unsure what Values to look for.
Car has been on a few 20 Minute drives so I'm guessing the DPF is not getting a clean out,
Car only has 28000KMS on it.

It sounds like a dead glow plug or clagging DPF filter. Does it drive like a slug?

It drives as Normal.. No problem at all.
Still has the same kick in the turbo when you give her a tickle so Nothing apart from the annoying message on the Dash..

Might be a sign of a pending failure. If it's under warranty still, could you take it to another dealer?

Are you able to locate the connector for it, disconnect it and clean the contacts in the socket and plug?

Will Do... I believe its at the front of the motor under the Cover that lifts of if I am not mistaken.
Will check it out tomorrow arvo or over the weekend.

Check the associated fuse, relay and the resistance of the circuit (as per the instructions in the TSB) before throwing any parts at it

Ive checked every fuse on the Fuse box under bonnet. - ALL Good
There is a F48 from memory which Doesnt show in the Bible that came with the car bot its the Glow Plug for the DPF i'm Sure. - According to the Car manual..
Unsure if any relays..... cant find much in the Owners Biblle.
Had a lookie under the bonnet and wonder how the hell they work on these cars..
Used to be able to climb into an engine bay once..
Unsure if the Exhaust is under all this palstic on the front or its at the back...
If I cant find the exhaust I'm guessing the DPF will be feeding into it.
And the Glow plug will be screwed into it.
Unser where to start.
Cant even find the bloody thing.
Checked the plugs at front of motor - unplugged and plugged back in..

So From what I can Find the GLOW PLUG and DPF must be at the back of the Motor. Sounds like htis is going to be FUN.. Not..

Yes, you are correct, F48 is the fuel vapouriser fuse.

Next step is to get under the car, unplug the vaporiser and test the resistance. You are looking for something like this (note this is from a Mondeo): http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/FORD-MOND...EAAOSwNRdYAHFL


If you have Forscan and the correct OBD connector, you can try to perform a DPF Stationary Regeneration

Got it up with my Car ramps and slid under, Its in a Very hard to get to spot.
just my luck.
Going to be Extreemly awkward laying down - Might be a hoist job but managed to get the below.....

And Reading from My meter - Disconnected The Plug and somehow managed to Get the probes on the 2 Pins ( And take a photo ).. Hopefully I have done it correctly.....

Good job. Looks like a tight fit under there.
That reading is way out of spec. Looks like a new vaporiser is needed.
