Oh nah ill happily drive it as is. Still drives straight and what not.
I definitely need a new lipo charger and a couple of fresh lipos.

Ive now been looking at another RC car

Traxxas ultimate desert racer has my attention. or even a 4x4 Traxxas Slash

Or one of these, really wanted one many years back.

So, dissapointly i went with the traxxas maxx.
But it was kind of like an ugly pet from the rspca.
I got it cheap, so 700 yet they retail at about 1000.
4wd wasnt what i was used to or after. I was a 2wd person. But, i learnt to adapt to change.
And by change i mean throw a **** tonne of parts at it to make it handle.
Anyrate, belted tyres, they're a game changer. Maybe not so much on a road/rally style rc with lower profile tyres, but off road things. With the larger sidewalls etc, belted tyres are so much more predictable as they dont balloon and stuff.

My 4x4 Slash was bullet proof, after i upgraded some parts on it. Chewed through the standard driveline parts, but once upgraded i flogged it and it never missed a beat.

The maxx isnt bad. I just find the limits by pushing past the limits. So take stock of the limit where it broke, fix it, do the same for another system, fix it, then do what i do now. And thats the cosmetics as to pretty it up, i know its limits. I'm still not going to be nice to it, but i know what it'll do.

What i think is interesting is simply the sheer variety. Everything has its purpose.
I think the coolest rc car i bought my son was a kyosho mini z. So he also has a ¹/10 scale monster truck but he's pretty bad when it comes to asthma. So the mini z is a 1/32 scale full function little rc. Something he can run on the kitchen floor in winter when the heaters on and he is off school. It surprised me on how fun the little thing is. Its not something you'd run outside, but being as small and nimble as it is, i reckon its a good peice of kit.
