Default Actually driving a lowered AU.........Your thoughts?

I'm looking at putting some super low or super super low king springs on my AUII XR8 but I'm a little worried about driveability. Don't get me wrong, I want to slam it as much as I can but I've got some steepish inclines in my parking garage at my apartments and don't want to do any damage.

Can anyone who has them tell me their experiences?

My Fairmont has been lowered with as TS50 kit on it and i have had no problems. Just take things slow and at an angle and you should have no hassels.

Looks like it's the super lows for you, unless you get 20's or higher profile tyre as them steep driveways are a B1TCH. I've got superlows all round with reset rear springs and when I had my 18's on them I was scrapeing on nearly every driveway/speed hump, then I got the 20's and fixed the problem by raising the whole car by an inch, still a little careful and taking it easy on the steep driveways and have been lucky so far. :
Heres a pic : :

My AU had the Tickford suspension - make sure you have your guards rolled if you have 18s or bigger ;)

I had my AUII XR8 lowered by Herrod's, they use King spring's, I'm not sure what ones, SL or SSL but it sit's real nice and I've never had a problem, you just need to be aware and drive cautiously.

we have ours with sl king springs, and if we have 3 ppl in the car, we will scrape on everything.

OR, if we have a boot full of , it will scrape....

We only have tickford 17's on it as well. I wouldnt mind puttin on 19's, that would cure the problem i reckon.

Especially with the T-Series/Pursuit body kits, lowering = much scrapage. With height adjustable fronts, I've been able to up it slightly over time to the point where I think it's a good balance of low and drivable and legal.

Looks good but can be a pain to live with. I have a steep driveway so its not for me. Also its a laugh to drag race lowered cars through car parks. The plonkers who take you on soon have sorry looks on their faces. taking it easy is one thing but if your local council likes speed humps this won't be for you
