Default Dropped gasket stuff into block

Me being stupid and not caring much while using a chisel to clean the block surface for a new head gasket, poured alot of old gasket down into the engine.
Is it recommended to take the sump off to clear it out or just let it come out with the oil while im clearing out the water in the engine?
Cheers

Maybe best to clean it out as it can clog the oil pump, and no oil will mean seized engine in most cases.

well it has about 24 x 10mm bolts holding it on, and you need to lift the engine up to do it.

Will most of it get into the oil filter and stay there? I'll be doing about 4 oil changes and 2 filter changes within the next 2 days, to clear out the water.
