Default How do I buy a car in Darwin? I'm in Sydney

I have been searching the trading post for ages and come across the exact car I am looking for but it is in Darwin - how ever the price is great. So I got a quote on freight and it is $700 insured on a truck to Sydney which is fine by me as it still comes out cheaper than the cars down here.

Question is though, how do you negotiate with the seller, sign the paperwork and hand over the money if I am physically in Sydney. I have checked flight prices and the added cost would make the deal unattractive. I'm thinking you can't just post a bank cheque to some random dude in Darwin expecting my car to show up in a few weeks?

Is there some sort of interstate car buying service I can go through. Tried google and no luck...

directly deposit the money into his bank account, and send the paperwork through express post. the whole deal will be done in less than a week
