Default warning light and beep

wonder if anyone could help me i have 2000 a AU2 that i;ve had for about 2 weeks it has 96 k and today a light and beep started it is a circle with a s in middle of it i do not have the owners book can anyone tell what this is thank

You went over the speed alert set amount. I'm guessing you were testing out the "high speed stability" :

to take it off just hold down then top stereo control button on your steering while until it says off on the LCD pannel. i must have put it on by mistake whilst choosing the tracks on a cd

The way to turn it off was answered before you posted the question. The LCD panel is part of the dash - every AU has one (but only AU2/3 got the speed alert standard on Forte/XRs)
