Default Interior update

Well, with the help of Mick (InitalD) in locating the last vital piece for me, I've finally gotten my NC Ghia seats into my ED :

I forgot how comfy these things were.....

And thanks to Sunny for the woodgrain too

pointless thead?? Yes, maybe...

I need to know... Will my ED (being a Gli) have the wiring inside the doortrims ready for me to install my power windows out of my NC?
If it is already there, it'll make life easier, as I wont have to rip the loom out of the NC...

Thanks guys!

im not sure....... i dont know anyone thats fitted power windows in an eseries...(other than Rmyerz who did the full EF ghia interior into his EA GL - he only fitted the looms as they are though - didnt have to seperate looms to fit the power window loom only...)

when i had my XF ute... i got the power window regs, door handles with buttons and a loom from a wreckers........fitted the regs myself then took the loom and handles to an auto elec who seperated the wires i didnt need and fitted the loom for 100...
that might be an option for ya

Yeah its easy to use the whole loom. Carpet out job.

I did it in my EB gli.

Basically rip it all out, connect it all up and send 12 volt to one of the wires and your done.

Cool, i'll send ya a PM if/when I get stuck somewhere:P
Shouldn't be too bad though.

EDIT - Is the power window loom a seperate plug in loom? Or is it intergrated into the body module loom??

Yep, thats the plan... Ive got the NC2 Ghia door trims, but I cant put them in until I get the electric window regulators in, otherwise I wouldn't be able to use my windows without punching a hole in the door trims for the winder... and I dont wanna ruin them.

After i've done that, i'll get around to stripping the dash to install my in car computer...

So many mods... so little time and money...
I guess everyones like that eh?? :P

Wiring wont be in the doors for the windows, you might be lucky if you have the main loom though. Check under the centre console for a wide yellowy plug, it maybe tucked under the carpet. If youve got that all you need is the window switch, and each individual door wiring loom.
If you dont, you need to swap the whole body loom.

The main window loom is combined with the body loom in high series models. The door looms are seperate

My ED had the window wiring already apart of the main loom, so yours might too.

I'll pull the centre console bin out today and see what I can find, but being a Gli I wouldn't be suprised if it wasn't there.

The power window one is a seperate loom.

You can seperate it from the main loom easily enough. Thats what I did.

The GLi doortrims match the NC seats quite well, interestingly enough.

Being yours doesnt have cruise AJ id say you dont have it BUUUUT I do have a body loom here that you can have aslong as you swap me a pizza for it next time Im up there helping with the electrics ;)

(P.S FFS put the JVC deck in the car! : )

And I cant do anything with the deck... i promised it to the missus (i cant find the smiley to show how whipped I am... lol...)
