how heavy does that boot layout make the car!! it'd be good to do the walls in something like fibreglass or something lightweight!

Prob very heavy, I was surprised when I watched some boot installs amd how much wood they use............OH MY GOD!!!!

Wood is the cheap and easy alternative that is why so many people use it...

yeah im goin to use wood for my boot and carpet it all and will be using lots of wood and carpet.
wich will be good for when i get it lowered because the rear end is always higher and the weigfht in the boot will even it up.
cheers troy

A decent boot install would probably weigh 70-100kg, but as much of the weight would be from stereo gear as MDF etc.

I really like the install in the Fairlane Mick, very nice indeed. Does the floor lift up easily enough to get access to the spare?

Thats crazy! 500kg would definitely make you run more on the fuel. Imagine your car on a full car load...!!. Anyway nice setup.
