Default ED/EF hybrid Tickford rocker cover

I picked up a spare engine a while ago and only recently noticed it has an ED/EF hybrid Tickford rocker cover. It has the moulded in scallops, bolts instead of studs, the raised polished top is a little different, but is the EA-ED shape.
How common are these? Its a July 94 build, so one of the last ones.

Could you post up a pic of the rocker cover??
I would say that they would be quite rare... very last of the ED

Here it is. Next to a standard EA-ED rocker cover.

I'd say XH XR6 as well, they seem to have got all the oddball parts that are half ED and half EF.

You really have to wonder why Ford would go to the trouble of making that rocker cover.

I think you guys are right, after a bit of research its the same design used on XH, and even late XGs got them (which what this one must be off being made in '94)
The 3 holes at the back of the cover appears to where a mount for the brake booster vacuum hose is attached.

Part no is 91DA6583-AB

I was going to drill two big holes in it to make a custom oil/air seperator for my turbo engine, but I wondering if I should still do it being its a little rarer than EB/ED Tickford covers?
It already has one small hole drilled in it (which could be welded up to bring it back to original) so thats why I had considered it in the first place.
Anyone know how many XG/XH XR6s were made?

Just looked at FPV.com and it appears 3277 XG and XH XR6s were built, so its not as rare as I thought.

Martin, its not just the Tickford covers, all ED 6 motors after June '94 had these Hybryd covers.
My car is a July 94, and when i re-did the head a couple of years ago all the gasket sets where actually EF parts.

You can still get these covers through Ford, and they arnt to Exspensive.

Yes the XG2 and XH had these covers aswell.
