I noticed that the PCV? valve on your car (next to the oil filler cap) is plastic. If your car backfires, this valve being plastic, could blow the bottom off, down into the valve gear of cylinder no 2. Ford sell a metal one for $10. Cheap insurance!

Cheers,

Interesting, might look into that. I just had all the leads replaced under warranty due to a backfiring issue. I had some pretty big issues with the airbox lid being blown off, and at worst the PCV top hose was blown off at both ends.

Looks hot mate, just sink it on some decent 17-18"s and that colour will look H.O.T.

E-Gas came with a green rocker cover as representative of its enviromental benefits over its petrol counter part.

Is it running better with the new leads?

What is the difference if you can notice any?

Certainly is, running alot smoother and has stopped backfiring altogether. NOticed the difference in throttle response immediately. I thought the car drove quite well when a I purchased it, but its improved further since the fix.
