If I was looking I would go a GT and seriously consider this one.

Depends how much you got to spend too. Obviously there's a bit of price difference between the gt and gs. They obviously created the gs as a base model fpv for the customers that can't afford, or even don't want, all the options the gt offers. If money is no issue then you would be stupid not to buy the GT

Amen !! The preoccupation with 1/4 mile times for cars that spend 90% of there time pottering around in traffic is getting tiresome. |

yes but it is nice to have an idea how it accelerates , if bought a car and it did a 20 second 1/4 i`d be pretty unhappy.

For me it would be GT, manual(no autos), and delete the raccoon eyes. Although I see the sense in getting a GS.

2011 pre-Miami Models - F6 all the way. Current model - GS with Brembos for value, GT for resale.

Ive had the b pleasure of driving a new GTP 335 for a wkend and I wouldnt even consider and F6 after that experience. The heritage that comes with a GT badge is unrivaled!

I went through the same thing about a year ago. Ended up with a GS and still loving it.

The S/C V8 offers fulltime enjoyment, you can soak up the noise of the S/C
V8 at lower speeds as much as you can enjoy the power at higher speeds. The 6 seems like more of a light switch its either on or off, theres little to no enjoyment unless your up it for the rent, thats OK if its a track car but for a street car and for someone thats not a boy racer the 8 would seem to have more to offer. |

I certainly understand the OP's dilemna though. It's a lot of coin to part with, so you'd want to make the best choice. My money, between the GS and F6, I'd probably go the GS. A supercharged V8 would be hard to knock back. I really like the way they look too. More understated than the GT or F6. All the best with your decision. GK

If petrol consumption is a factor I can reliably tell you that my SC GT-P uses about 15% more than my FG F6. Is it worth the extra fuel...is the Pope a Catholic

Which car has more potential if you really wanna ramp up the power.
What hp Does the big turbo in the f6 get maxed out? Doesnt the harrop charger in the gt/gs max out earlier? What hp can these motors handle stock? |

A good friend of mine has owned both the GT and F6 in the B series..
The feedback was that the F6 was a heartless and souless car, where as the GT had both and character, but was lots slower. End of the day both were moved on and sold for other cars, the GT was and still is very missed today, the F6 has become a mostly forgotten memory. For me personally, if I was ever to buy another new Falcon of any kind, the letters GT says it all, end of discussion in my view.

Between GTPete and the last 2 posts, it pretty much sums up my thoughts. The badge of a GT surely has merit on its own. The blower just makes the icing on the cake. Surely the on tap grunt from this 5.0L is Winner.

Azza, sorry mate but the old fart/pragmatist in me forces the question. Why Falcon? If the power is the only thing thats driving your decision (no pun intended) there are better options. Both have pretty crappy resale value, especially if you are the second owner. But hey all cars do.
I say be as practical as possible, go for a good individual deal and don't let your heart rule. or even think left field, buy an old ranger ute and a go cart. you can get everything done around the house and have a shed load of fun without getting fined or killing yourself. This is from someone who has made just about every stupid car buying decision possible.
