It sounds like it should be on today tonight. They showed some horrible little ferals and some absolute losser parents on a couple of shows. Its a hard answer here as if you take the law into your own hands you could then be charged. Plus what are they going to be like when grown up and unemployed.

dick smiths has video gear for cheap. dont be beaten by these turds i know it is easyer said than done but dont give in. seems thay must watch the house to see whats going on . i sujest that you have a mate stay there when you all go out for a while and when these turds turn up he/she calls the cops says there concerned for there safety. then go out and kick there guts out. if you tell the police your scared and concerned for your safety then thay have to do somthing about it. also there has to be an odsbudsmen to go to about the police and there lack of action. but as others have said there must be a reasion why thay have picked you as a target.

i cant imagine how angry you guys must be...im seriously ****ed off just reading whats happened - not good at all, and as usual the cops are being very helpfull...oh sorry theyre probably busy off catching someone for doing 3kms over the speed limit :(
hope you have some luck getting the repairs done, and thank god the mk1 wasnt there...they better not touch that, thats for sure oh and get a bigger, meaner, man-eating dog...although then i guess you guys would end up the ones being prosecuted...the legal system sucks sometimes

It sounds as though someone needs to buy a balaclava and a baseball bat.
I have "heard" it does the job. |

As much as i despise Current Affair and Today Tonight, this is one situation where i think you really would benefit from some publicity.
It sounds like your gonna be able to buy a house as restitution for lack of police doing their job, it could be alot worse.... Just make sure you get a house away from the Western Burbs this time. You might run them over one day, but theyre young and will come back with 10times more people. |

Move & NEVER worry about it again.
It'll all be behind you. You could stay there, install cameras etc and feel un-safe in your own house.. Or move forward, move on and keep ahead of that sort of sh!t. It must be so frustrating, being that it happened last year? to. Sorry to hear & good luck with greener pastures. |

This is just some of the damage done yesterday. Resized they may be a little hard to see, especially on the EB as it was in the sun.
Every panel on the MkII has been gouged this deeply, including the roof. The sight of it makes me want to cry. Nice big gouge down the centre of the bonnet, in case you can't see anything. And their atrocious attempt at spelling 'you're' on the boot, the dog must have done it's job here and scared them off. The MkII was out of the dogs field of vision although not hearing which would explain why the neighbours said he was going nuts at 3.30pm. The reason The Maddestman and I didn't go and find them last night is because the Mk I is the only car that we have at the moment that is running. That car was not here when they did the damage, I was returning the Lancer that I'd hired (I wish they had of attacked that POS) for a week, then went and did some shopping. As far as I know they do not know that the MkI exists, and it's behind the gates with the dog now so they can't get to it. ALL the cars are behind the gates. If their game enough to walk through those gates with MAX PAYNE behind them, their shredded carcasses will be going back out the gates. Despite what the council says I am NOT putting a muzzel on him just because they think they can see a bit of pit bull in him. He is a guard dog after all. I'll take him to the vets this week and get him/her to check his breed/s.

I'd be contacting the cops higher up making complaints about the inaction of your local cop shop. For each level of inaction, move higher up quoting the badge numbers of those that are unwilling to help. Eventually it has to pay off. The other option is to go through today tonight or similar. This will embarrass the police and can result in the top brass issuing a "please explain" to those directly responsible.
If the police won't do anything about these guys, then catching them, taping their mouths shut and belting them around with a phone book might help convince them to go away. With no marks to prove the assault, it's their word against yours. 2 kids AVOs against them won't weigh in their favour. Sounds like your neighbours may turn a blind eye even if they did witness anything.

So I have decided that I'm going to write a letter to the Deputy Ombudsman (police complaints), and The Ethical Standards Department. I am also going to fire off emails to A Current Affair and Today Tonight. I want a 'Please Explain', an apology, the @rseholes that did this prosecuted, and enough compensation to move and to respray BOTH cars. If the government can give a ferral family a nice big house out in the country because of the number of complaints that the neighbours made about them, then they can give the victims of ferrals at least enough money to move and respray their cars. Our one true passion, possessions that we've worked so damn hard to get, we've looked after to the best of our abilities and often stretched our budgets and have gone without other things to keep our cars in good condition (my son has never missed out on anything, it's myself I'm talking about there). We will not walk away from this the losers, heads are going to roll and we will not rest until justice is done! If I can get fingerprints off my car, when the Police say they can't there is something seriously wrong. When my neighbours can tell me what car they're in, the time they were here and I pass this information on, I can tell them exactly where that car will be at the exact time I'm talking to them but they don't want to know about it because they'll just send two more victims statements in the mail (quick and easy, probably less paper work too). What is the use wasting time going to court (and spending quite a few hours there and a fair bit of money for a solicitor on more than one occasion) and getting restaining orders only for them to be constantly breached? Just whose rights are the Police upholding? Certainly not mine or Troys! I'll still buy my house, but I am not going to walk away from this and just take it on the chin. I want some friggin' answers! :

Please note, I am not saying ALL police are like this, just the ones in this area. And people wonder why, on occasion, people take matters into their own hands rather then going through the proper legal channels?!? I am still livid with rage, in case you can't tell, I have to keep reminding myself that "it's just a car", but it's a car I've put so much of my time, money, heart and soul into, it's not some Mitsubishi Sigma filled with rust and owned by someone with no interest in cars, it's a 4 door 1976 Mk II Ford Escort 2.0 GL Ghia Rally Pack, which, when I got it, was in a far from a drivable condition. It's my pride and joy, and to see it vandalised like that fills me with fury. :SaiyanSmi

I think what youre doing is the way to go. They cant just pretend it never happened, and as much as i hate shows like ACA etc, you cant deny that get results.

The police have claimed to us that it's impossible to get fingerprints off a car. What a load of :jerk:. Skin is covered in natural oils. These oils, when left on surfaces such as glass or smooth, painted metal (such as the metal on a car) leave a definate print.
Se example A): Admittedly you've got to look closely to see the handprint (it's towards the top of the picture, in case you can't spot it), but considering that was AFTER WE HAD WASHED THE CAR, it shows that the Police were simply trying to fob us off by saying they couldn't get fingerprints off the car. Now, given that the people we suspect of doing this have a number of Intervention orders against them, as well as being known to Police and hanging out in public, with other known offenders (some of which have been caught with weapons on them) in a large group (unlawful assembly, loitering, and the distinct chance of other charges if the Police actually bothered to do anything), this would give "reasonable suspiction (spelling?!?)" to bring them in for questioning, and to have them fingerprinted. So if the police were at all interested in doing the job they are paid for, they would have came out here, fingerprinted the cars, then went and fingerprinted the suspects, and I'd be willing to bet there would be a match, even if not, at least they would be trying to do their job. But no, that sounds too much like work, obviously. They're too busy booking Joe Pizza for doing 4km/h over the limit in a 100km/h zone because that, obviously, is more important then doing Police work. Sad thing is, if we were to take the law into our own hands and go and dish out some "justice" of our own on the "suspects", we would no doubt get caught and charged. I can't help but wonder how anybody could do something like this to someone else who has done NOTHING to them whatsoever. I could never do something like that to someone else, although I'm that angry still that if I got the chance and knew I wouldn't get charged, I'd happily inflict some damage of my own in return for the damage done to our cars. Call up again, if they fob you off, get their number and ask to talk to their sergeant. If he/she fobs you off, get their number and go one higher. Keep going til you get to that useless fat heap Nixon.

The police saying they cant get prints from a car is a load of BS. My parents had their car stolen, it was found & returned to my parents, but the cops came out a day later & dusted the whole car for prints.

Let it die for a few months then say nothing to anyone, have a good alibi and do some damage!!

Wow! I'm sharing the fury with you guys.
A couple of things:- 1/ Your neighbours are cowards, watching the crimes and doing nothing about it. If it were my neighbour, I'd be watching out for them with a baseball bat of my own to make the kids wish they lived in another city. 2/ In NSW, I believe you are allowed to use "reasonable force" to protect oneself and property. If they enter your property, you can beat the crap out of them and claim self defence. 3/ Don't lower yourself to their level by using sly, revenge attacks. If you damage their property, you will be caught and have a criminal record to your name. 4/ Continue the path you are on with TT & ACA as well as the ombudsman etc. Expose the inefficient officers and get your answers from the highest level possible. 5/ Take photos with the date imprint on, to aid in the documentation of their breach of the AVO. Good luck. Tod.

that is a real shame, there isnt anything i can say which hasnt been said already. on one hand they damaged the cars, on the other no-one got hurt which is inevitable if the fight escalates. pieces of $hit like these are pack animals, they cant fight alone so u'll never win that way.
i've had similar grief before with glorified public servants who found my story too hard. after i'd had a gutful of all the inadequacies when i'd phone i'd ask them if the call was being recorded, with that i'd then tell them "well then u wont have a problem if i record this do ya?" 100's of phonecalls were now reduced to less than a dozen and the matter was resolved. best of luck on whatever course of action u take.........and dont give up on these oxygen-thieves cos then they win and that justifies thier actions.
