Well done Steve, I have been waiting for you to post about this. It seems this Swift place is highly recommended, and I'm also very interested in all the details about the LPG set-up including tank type, costs etc.

that setup looks impressive (hmm I wish mine looked like that!!!) ,bad news about the belt, mine was nothing but trouble for the first couple of runs, and suffered huge slip @ close to full revs
is it quiet drive or full noise(whrrrr) like mine? |

i won't post it on here, but we've been a little unhappy with a few things so far (both my car and steves)

Ok, just got the car back from dynomotive. Some good new and bad news. Good news is that she's making 177rwkw after that cold air induction. Bad news is that for some reason it was only making 4pound boost this time round. They tell me that i will be needing a new belt as the current one was caked in oil from when my timing case was leaking. I cleaned it up as well as i could before I gave it to them but they reckon a new belt is the way to go. The next few weeks will be dedicated to finding out were the boost is banking up. If the belt doesn't fix things, i will haveto look further into it... Unfortunately another problem has arisin tho which i need to fix before hand. It seems that the blower isn't sitting perfectly flush with the rest of the pulleys, as we learnt today when the belt skipped a tooth and ripped off one of the belt ribs :O. She's still ok but it's not something that i want to drive around with for much longer. I will be taking the car back to swift shortly for them to fix this problem and hopefully get a new belt. Anyways, i will keep everyone updated as to how i go, and i'll have pics of the new c old air induction shortly |

Had a look at Steve's car tonight and I have to say it's very impressive when you open the bonnet. A lot tougher looking than a turbo! There's this dirty great supercharger hanging off the side with some serious 3" piping connecting it all up! Looks unreal. Just disappointed we couldn't go for a spin cause of that bloody belt that kept skipping a tooth :( The car SOUNDS wicked though!!!

177rwkw with less boost, interesting i spose we were right about the pulleys being misalligned.. think its the AU bracket (somehow? :o) ??

Nice looking install there Rymers.
I'm very jealous! Did you do any mods to the engine in prep for the S/C? eg, Pistons, balance, cam, head, etc, etc... |

The one thing I noticed whilst doug and myself were in the car last night (during the one time when steve was able to boot it before the belt started dying) is that the power seems to come on smoother with the new intake. Previously the boost wouldn't hit until 4000rpm (and it hit with a sudden rush), whereas now the power is a bit more linear (i.e. there's not such a sudden rush, the boost comes on smoother) |

nice title. I wonder how long it will get.
Good to hear the intake made an improvement. Any idea when the new belt is going on and the issue will be fixed?

Very impressive looking engine bay. However can I be a devils advicate and suggest that if you are looking at producing 200kw's at the wheels your fuel system will not be to scratch. The single lpg convertor/lock off that you are
using will be good for about 150-170kw's at the wheels. If you are not careful, you will lean out at higher rpm. |

Carefull mate, ADR 37B req's all vehicles produced after 1986 to be fitted with emission equipment, that includes catalytic convertors. You can delete any specific petrol system components, ie carbon canister, but catalytic convertors must be still be fitted. Changing to LPG does not save on this one unfortunately.

interesting... any idea where we can get more info on this?
the complete Petrol system has been removed (lines, tank etc) ... does this mean AU and BA dedicated Falcon's still have a catalytic convertor
