Sorry to hear mate :(

You know, if you'd done it burnout-style instead, she would've missed you :

Well in that case it sounds like a great challenge to undetake. It will be a massive learning curve, thats for sure. All the best in repairing it. If you need details for top quality panel beaters/ painters just PM me.

The hardest part will be getting the body line to be straight and flowing again. The flatter panels are easier by a long shot.

sorry to hear that mate, i know you said you love the thing but it may be in your best interests to have a shoop around, as if the repairs are going to be around 2000ish, you can get yourself quite a nice similar ride.

I ended up taking it in for a quote today at Phil Munday's but they were really busy so i'm gonna take it in again sometime this week. I'll see what they say then i'll make a final decision after that, but I REALLY want to keep it!

So we'll see how we go! I also got a call from the lady that hit me, the damage to her car was worth $3300 just makes me so glad I had insurance.

this thread makes me sad, I've never even seen the car but loved it just for how it looks in the paddock photo! Good luck getting it back on the road!!!

Not really considering the other lady has no insurance, the legal side of it could drag on for months (legal bill will probably get near the car/repair job costs). Then at the end if she realises she's stuffed she could cry poor and pay him like $50 a week until its payed off.

looks like just the skin, if structure is ok, may get away with just the the repair, was there any ripple on the LH side after impact?

I got the car back sunday, i'm really happy with the way it turned out the panel beater said it had been previously repaired (I knew this) and it was filled up with bog about 2CM thick! But he took it all out and bog is at a minimum now. Currently it's in blue primer but i'm gonna get it sprayed once funds allow me to.

I'll chuck up some pics soon!

BTW we didn't end up fixing it outselvs because the panel beater said it'll only cost $550.

Here we go, it's in some blue primer ATM so don't think it's a bad colour matching job :P

Good to see your car again. It's always great picking up the car after the damage has been repaired. I remember driving my car for the first time since I caved the front in. It was a great feeling to be back behind the wheel, even though the bonnet was only in primer and the front guard didn't blend in with the rest of the car.
