Don't think anything like that will be happening for a very long time, if at all, as too many issues on both sides to resolve.

Whole subject has bad news written all over it.

Born in Dublin, lived in London and now living in Perth...a bit of a pikey really. As I am a mad Irishman, I would like to point out that Ireland isnt a part of the UK. It is a completely independent, self governed country. The English have historically kicked us about every few years and tried to rule us but have now run away to hide and we let them keep a little bit to shut them up.

I'm a fullblooded Dutchy, but have both citizenships because my mum was born in Towradgi 50 years ago when her parents were on holiday here.

Chuckle, chuckle, and if they (the British) ever live up to their word on the good friday agreement, the ownership of that little bit (6 counties) will be put to a referendum. Democracy at its finest....

My Dad is from Huddersfield, Yorkshire, Mum is Australian with a British Isles Background.

My mate who is Vietnemese was asked at my 21st if he was Born here or not, he quaintly put it this way.. "I'm Made in Australia from Quality imported Vietnemese Ingredients"

Gets me every time

Dad's 5th generation Aussie. Mum is Dutch, born in Hong Kong, raised in South Africa. Don't know what that makes me.

My surname is also Austrian i'm pretty sure. So somewhere down dad's line there's some of that in there.

I'm moving to England or Scotland though after my studies most likely.
