Nothing is wrong with the covers, the car just looks much better without them.
Take them off and see for yourself..
Maybe do a before and after poll with pictures and see what others think?

Break a headlight and you will be crying into your beer , you have to remove the complete front bar just to get to the light to remove it : been there done that , it is not as simple to replace as a non xr headlight
If you keep the covers clean they still look good

The headlight covers are about $100 a set for a replacement so if you have them, look after 'em!

Nice choice in colour, '02 plate and a Series III, can't go wrong with that.

Agree with that and a top buy. Reckon series 3 au's is where ford were on a winner with the au's.

u can still get the effect off the 'no covers look' by removing the black outline from the covers that go around the outside of them , so they are just pure clear when done, thats another close 1 between the 2 . I personally dont mind the covers , they look ok and they protect the lights and the inner part of the cylinder around the lights from stone chips too.

Nice purchase ИИИ, though I think I must be the only here who isn't a fan of silver :

Anyway if you’re after serious mods you can’t go past Jim Mock Motorsport – they have great packages or alternately you can individually order parts. Check the sponsor link at the top. They managed to get 153rwkw’s out my beast… :

Welcome to the VCT Family!!

Meteorite is one of my favourite colours on the AU.
Car looks very clean and nice.
I always like going through all the old threads and seeing who posted. Like in this one, Stiddy and Casper, both gone now, unfortunately. Buckie is in here too. Anyone know what happened to him?

To the above poster, have a look at the date the thread was created; it's over 3 years old.

This was exactly what I was after when I first wanted an AU XR6; a series 3, VCT, meteorite and of course the rebel kit. I ended up finding an ST in Blueprint, gotta say I am glad I waited and went the Blueprint. Meteorite is still a nice colour though!

Serrated Tussock, that's the one... : Nah, I'm not doing Environmental Science at school, and I'm not planning on doing it if Serrated Tussock is involved!!! We're actually killing alot of it though, shoveling is actually far more effective than spraying! :

Back on topic,
Was 2002AUXR6 the only person to put an XR50 front bar on a meteorite xr, or did someone else do that too???

Cheers, Anthony
