a little off topic because its a AWA

but in the AWA i was on it had a clause stating that in the event i gave notice/had notice of termination given to me I had to perform my duties as per normal OR run the risk of losing any entitlements and being asked to leave before the termination date.

so even though i was dirty as about leaving i still put in 100% for the last week cos i knew they'd try stitch me up.

Another guy resigned the day after I, and one of the other guys was sacked. He gave 2 weeks, the boss made him sign a bit of paper right there and then that stated i'll agree to paying you two weeks wages plus entitlements if you dont come here again basically. Reason being this guy was a leader among the boys and his resignation would have caused a massive stir. I suppose it all depends.

But no, in the event you resign unless you fail to adhere to the conditions of your employment they cant just sack you
