Keep it civil guys.

You can like it, hate it or just see it for what it is, someone having fun modding a vehicle.

This is the car the hyundai tibron's owner is trying to emulate. Looks like a fail to me not even close.

of course it looks no closer than it did when it left hyundai
from what i saw, he never claimed to alter the panels - he just added some ferrari touches that makes the car unique - most people in the world would have no idea that it wasn't one

At least those mentioned above are all the same manufacturer.

Not my cup of tea, doubt it would fool many people. And if they were fooled as soon as the owner gave it some curry you'd soon know as it would sound like paper tearing.
Takes all types i guess.

That and the fact it's front wheels would be the ones doing any chirping... if that's at all possible with 123kws...

GT40s and Cobras are made by many, many companies none of which are owned by Ford.

In the big picture what is the difference between "ferrari" replica built out of a hyundai and a "GT40" replica built out of various Audi and BMW running components lashed together onto a home brew chassis and your choice of engines, some of which are reasonably close replicas to the original V8s (well same number of cylinders anyway)?

As far as fooling people, most people cannot tell one car from another even with the correct badges and what's more they don't even care. They like the colour or the shape but not much else except maybe fuel economy.

I would not own the "ferundai" but I would also not own a XR6 with a bulge bonnet and GT body kit or AU forte with a TS50 body kit or XR6T with F6 bling as to me they are all the same......

I would, however, own a GT40 replica.

I always thought there was a difference between a replica and a badge change.

I don't mind a real well done replica, but changing badges is not a replica.

You wouldn't make a GTHO out of a Kingswood but.
To me a replica is one object that replicates another. So a Falcon 500 had a bit of a change to replicate a GT, the BA XT was changed to replicate an XR8. The kit car with an AMG motor was designed to replicate a GT40.

This Hyundai in no way shape or form replicates a 599 GTB, or any Ferrari for that matter. Surely you can see that there is a difference? Patefacio vestri mens.

Yeah true but at least the companies that make Cobras, their cars actually resemble the original. This car for one isnt the same manufacturer, nor is it anything like what it is trying to impersonate.

Id love to be there when someone pulls up next to the owner in a 599.

But this isnt a replica its just a badge change.

So would I, just to see how many thought the wrong one was the fake.....

At last years tourism award ceremony one of the winning companies decided to take their "trophy holder" photos in the car park but as they had arrived in a Tarago thought it would look better in front of the Porsche parked nearby.
It was amazing, the rego of the Porsche was the same as my datto......

If it's possible with 107-ish kws, then it's possible with 123

As for the Tiburari... well, it looks OK, but as others have said: lose the Ferrari badges.

A bloke I knew back in the early 2000's had a mid-90's Hyundai Sonata.

Dark blue, put 17" chrome wheels, loud exhaust (4cyl auto from memory).a big sterio and neons on it.

And replaced every Hyundai badge on the car with a SAAB one. Grille, Steering wheel, Engine Cover, Bootlid, Wheel Centres.

Oh yes.

Fooled some of the girls from St. Margarets (the local all girls school), so more power to him.

Then again, I managed to convince some of the same girls that my 1985 Alfa 33Ti was an Italian thoroughbred.

I'm not "hating" on the guy, but that honestly doesn't look close to the Fez at all..

No part is the same bar the badges.

I was expecting to see a car that actually had the same bodywork as a Fez.. ah well

The advert is no longer up.

I can just picture how many emails he got from every person sticking their 2c in.

The only emails I got from my TS50 advert on Gumtree was a bunch of w**kers "telling me how it is" or telling me "what it's worth" or "what's better than a Tickford."

There's some mind-numbingly ignorant and useless people in the world and apparently a lot of them hang around Gumtree bashing on their keyboards looking for adverts to "comment" on.

A lot of effort has gone into that 'faker' no doubt. Not my cup of tea though but I bet someone out there would love it as much as it's maker.
