****** that bro, keep it, Insure it under the old mans name for a few years and only drive it on the weekend, get yourself a cheep lapa to drive around the rest of the time

Or just garage it and store it for a few years.

You may never get the opportunity to own another one.

Or sell it like somebody else said and keep the money in a High interest account till your 24 then go out and by a new one with change left over to run it LOL.

The old man had a XY GTHO, which he sold and he wishes he never did and so do I LOL

If it were me the keys would have to be forced from my hand at Gun Point, selling it just wouldn’t be on the cards.

That is awesome! Congratulations on the win!
Sell it and put the money into a high interest account. You will be laughing when you are 26!

Whoever buys it will save a lot more than $5000. It will be getting closer to 12-15,000 on new price that they will save. $70,410 list plus onroads.

"You can have car when you pry them from my cold dead fingers"
Seriously man, you have two choices:
1.Keep it and if your dad can afford it give it to him and take his car.
2. Sell it and invest, then in say 6 or so years you will be able to buy a legendary 2006 Ford GT-P.

You have to take it for a quick spin before you sell it.

PLEASE POST PICS

Do the FPV drive day in it and then sell it. Its a great drive day, you get to put the car thru its paces. The memories will last a lifetime. If its unregistered, tow it to the track and enjoy the cars full potential.

Im sure it is hopefully I will get to experience it one day. If he wants to sell it as a new car & get the big $$$ for it. By not hamering tryes etc at drive day (clocking kay's) & also being able to factor in with sale its comes with FPV drive day. Which someone looking for a new FPV would expect. I dont know if i would want to buy an FPV that its only kay's eg its run in is FPV drive day. :

Well mate, you could sell it or you could not. It depends on your cash flow. I think you need to work out if you want it later on or you dont. If you want it later on as well keep it.

The cars a bargain compared to full retail, the Km's clocked up on the day would not be excessive. Its a performance car built for spirited driving, the day wont void the cars warranty.
If it was mine thats what I would do. In the end I doubt the drive day would have any major effect on the price tag. Once its sold its not coming back.

logic says to sell ... the right foot says to keep it !! as lucky as you are to have the car, and congratualtions as well... i think there are some of us are lucky not to, cos i know i wouldnt want to have to make that decision!~

if you want to sell it, load up the papers with ads. a wider viewing audience.....AFF is a waste of time to try n sell a car.

Just sell it and get whatever you can. If someone offers you 55 large, take it. To have a GT-P you need the money to go with it. Don’t listen to anyone that thinks it will hold it’s value if you don’t drive it, they’re dreaming. You could almost calculate the devaluation by the day with one of these.

Just keep in mind that it’s FPV runout time at the moment so the dealers are going to throw deals around that you wouldn’t usually see, so be prepared for a shock.

Why not just slap 3rd Party Property insurance on it if you want to keep it. If you didn't pay for it in the first place it wouldn't hurt as much. I'm young too and I wanted to keep saving for a house aswell but even my mum who is pretty wise said "Your young only once, buy something that will make you happy". So I got a turbo :P Alternativley you could sell it and buy a decent car and save the rest.

You’ve got to be kidding. Even without my crystal ball I’d almost bet the house that the car would eventually end up bent. I’m not saying that Mitch GT-P is irresponsible or not a good driver, it’s just the way it is. With a car like this it’s very tempting to see what It’ll do. Pinning the 250 km limiter isn’t hard in one of these.

Better of selling it while it’s still worth something.

So I can do insane speeds aswell. Just because I can doesn't mean I'm going to do it. Believe me my mates have given me crap too about only driving to the speed limit and I just tell them to STFU or walk. I call it good self control ;)

The post wasn’t about you or how fast your rice burner is.

Read the paragraph again.

Hey now come on. The focus has been well loved, comes with everything stock, so it's a modder's dream, very good on petrol and is in Silver. So very easy to keep clean. Even thou its just the 1.8 SR model, I put Zetec branded floor mats in it, so now the car feels faster and I have bought a rear sunshade for it. The shade I am still trying to work out where the glue goes.

So I think it would be a quality swap. I'll even give it a polish first.

I did read the paragraph. You implied because he owns a GT-P he will be tempted to push it and I say just cause you know what it can do it doesn't mean that you will do it. Simple as that. If the man is smart enough he wouldn't. Yes I do realize the car he just accquired and mine are different but they share the common characteristic of being very quick.

Lol Bucky you can always try! But yes the focus is a nice car.

Strange hope it,s not a red GT P as one i saw the other day brand spanking new went thru a kerb over the medium strip just missed the the street light pole and under a cyclone fence and ended up stopping in a empty block against some concrete blocks, new car being taken for a spin by inexperienced driver in a Campbellfield back street! So sad!

Find a relative thats a pensioner and register it in their name......very cheap rego and insurance.......then drive it like you stole it :eclipsee_

or sell it and buy a suzuki swift

I guess if your not into cars then you may as well sell it but you have one sweet ride that after you get married and have kids, morgage etc you may not get again for a while.

I'm sooooooo jealous, i think ive done well with $2.00 win on a scratchy

sort of wish i never read your post now,

mate that is a top win and what a hard choice you have to make. but it will depresiate over time man unless you store it for 20 years on blocks and never drive it then it mite be worth a bit man
