R31 Skylines all the way, I had a series 2 two tone Silhouette with a 5 speed, I loved that car. The Aussie GTS1 & GTS2 are bloody nice and only 200 of each made

Back when Isuzu made passenger cars... and some iconic ones at that.
The 117 Coupe. My favourite:

IMO pre 80's jap is very different to modern japanese. Their little purple patch.
While its pretty obvious they were coping other countries styling traits, 2000GT is like a mini E type, RA28 (I think 28) Celica looks like a mustang etc. They still had their own style. Modern Japanese seems to be just turbo efficiency, they have gone a bit sterile, with the odd exception.

I always dream of if I had the money to build a car empire... I'd buy Isuzu... and get them making beautiful little sporty cars again.

* Any rotary Mazda (but especially the little original R100).
* All the Celicas of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation (up to the last of the rear drivers). * Everyones favorite, the Datto 1600. * 240Z. * The original GTR Skyline 2000 * AE86 of course...still regret not buying one for the piddling price of $3500 back in 2007... * My RA60 third-generation Celica of course... |

How about a Sigma Turbo GSR? 2.6ltr turbo four, five speed, all sorts of good gear and features. They were way ahead of thier time. Only came in red and black, but it looked good.
