If you can sell it for ~$60k then yeh, sell it.

$60k. Invest or put a deposit on a house. If you want to spoil yourself you could get a $10-$20k car. BA XR6's are now around $20k. That would still leave $40k for investment or purchase of property. If it was me, and I won a GT-P I would find it very hard to sell it and not buy something atleast a little nice to replace it.

I personally don't hold massive worth on things unless I've earned it. Your $70k car if given to you is worth a lot less than a $45k car you had to save and earn for.

Then again you only live once. I would be mucho tempted to keep it. I predict many sleepless nights.

yeah I agree with most people here the best thing to do is probably sell it, although make sure you get a nice little car to get around it for a couple of years say a new focus or a swift or something and invest the rest.

Oh My Gentle Jesus. You're clearly either NOT a car man, or have a lot of self control...

If it was me, I'd be selling it, Buying a 2nd hand Golf Gti and Investing the $15 or so grand left over. But not before belting the sheet out of the GTP. Ahhh I wish I was in that situation!!!

Sell it for as much moola and as fast as you can. Then divide it into equals thirds.

1st third - Buy yourself another car - Something cool and fun and special that makes you smile just looking at it...

2nd third - Go on a trip, go backpacking, go and have some fun. Your young and cashed up, You may never have these this situation again. Go and make some memories.

Last third - Invest it for low risk growth. A management share fund? Term deposit? Invest it in your own education? There is plenty of advice around but use the KISS principle with whatever you look at and if you don't understand how it will benifit you - leave it. This money will grow and form your house deposit when your ready - the deposit is the hardest bit to save.

This way you get a decent car, have some fun, and will still have something to show for your good fortune in the years to come

Smart move not to drive the car uninsured due to the tools on the roads.

Dude id sell the car and spend the money how you would like too not what others ask or want you to do you own the car not them and property you make money not loose like cars.

Sell it and buy a Datsun 180B. The 180B will still be running when the GT-P is on the scrapheap anyway :P
