Again, its a great package, but the lacks the WOW factory as a drive experience.
Rented one at the start of the year and thought it sounded pretty good from inside the cabin... till I found out that it has engine sounds simulated through the speakers

The v8'uses sound enhancement as well.... It's actually quite widespread in modern cars.

The day I see a stock fg xr6 run 13.75 ill eat the shaved hair from my legs haha
What wrong did you right?

On YouTube there was a test done and the v6 n/a mustang 2014 model killed the 2015 2.3 turbo mustang down the quarter mile. The 2.3 turbo went 15 seconds. According to you the 2.3 turbo mustang would outrun a FPV bf f6 with 270kw/550nm.. They struggled to go 13.75 stock.

I'd take the autotech times with a grain of salt, prob a tuned car, or with tyres and lightened. Or the best ever time recorded, certainly not something the average punter could replicate

Go and drive one and see for yourself.

I'd have the 4 pot turbo any day but I'd prefer the V8. If I have to wait a year for any Ford, I'd go the Focus RS though

Another problem with the 2.3 is the crowds no longer have a fighting chance of hearing the Mustang before it ploughs into them #justmustangythings

And yet, all I can think is to make a D1 Ecoboost Mustang... The base engine is probably good for 350kw before running into structural problems, so why not?

They have changed them on Ecoboost models, the first ones had a sound piped in from the inlet manifold which could easily be removed. New Ecoboosts (ST/Mustang) etc have electronic sound symposers. I dont miss mine at al, it annoyed the hell out of me.

Autotech time is genuine stock.
Standard tyres, standard curb weight.
Was simply driven to WSID and run to get a base measurement prior to tuning.
Driver would have been one of the lighter guys there.

Considering a stock RS MK3 ecoboost with 24kw more and 75ish kgs less is getting down the quarter in 13.09, I wouldn't think that a 13.75 EcoBoost Mustang time would be hard to achieve.

Doesn't even the ecoboost falcon run a mid-high 14? With more weight and a lot less power.

Some people sure do hate for no real reason on here these days.

I never compared the eb to a turbo 4.0,where did you get that from?
If you think autotech is lying about it why don't you take it up with them?
I don't even like the new mustang and I don't want to buy one,why would I want to drive one, just to have a whinge about it on aff like you?
Only thing I take with a grain of salt is anything you say
You are aff's Joshua dowling lol

Im surprised that you openly say that autotech is posting misleading information, that is not on,you are putting their credibility in question, you cant do that.

No. A great car is the 1989 Charade GTti.

That one had dohc, efi, and its engine was originally designed for Group B.

Mildly modified ones (as in, bolt on stuff, but no internals) reach 200hp a lot, with 250hp being achievable. Ones with porting and cams get 300hp. Yes that's still a 993cc engine. Nobody replaces bottom end components for strength reasons. Apparently whatever diesel derived block & crank they used held up nicely with daihatsu's forged rods & pistons

Ok so maybe it was just a great engine. G100 charades aren't really all that good as cars...

As an interesting aside, I go onto Carsales and see that I could pick up an EB 'stang today if I wanted one. I'm predicting that Ford is watching this closely as well and it'll be discontinued at some stage or special order only.

Does sound simulation mean you can have whatever engine soundtrack you want when driving the mustang 2.3?

I don't think so. I went through about every menu in the car's computer (to change from imperial to metric) and I didn't see it.

That's unfortunate, would have been a major selling point for the ecoboost 4cyl. Only thing it really lacks is sound. Imagine if one could download v8 soundtrack, v12, old school muscle etc from an App Store on the Sync ICC.
