Maybe a big bullbar on the car would help....
then there would be less mess on the car.
And as for the pat on the head mate im not the type of bloke to enjoy that kind of thing....maybe you'd like to try it but you really wouldnt like the response you get.

You know that town you live in? I grew up and went to school there, during its heyday as the crime capital of Victoria not now when its soft. I did Yr 11 at Flemington High School, with the Ken boys from the Kensington flats, the Veitnamese and Leb gangs from the Flemington flats, and grew up in the Skip corner of Sunshine. Dont internet tough guy me, it doesnt impress me.

Cant believe some of the replies here...

I used a ride a fair bit too (then I discovered cars), cyclists are entitled to use the road also, as long as they arte careful. I wouldnt go 3 abreast probably a bit much but they certainly have the right to use it.

As for the arguments on personal issues it will stop here
