Default Diff's for e-series models

just wondering where exactly can you get high ratio diff's that fit onto the e-series, as im interseted for something around the 3.7 ratio. Where exactly is a good place to start looking, and what modifications would i be looking at to fit it in my car?

Thanks

3.7s can be had from R31 skylines. I think it may have been the Series 1 model.

3.9s can be had in S2-S3 R31s, and 4.11s can be had from Pinnys ;)

Beware the skyline diffs though, test one before buying! I bought one untested and (no fault of the seller) it was stuffed.

All r31 skyline manuals were 3.7, all r31 skyline autos were 3.889, and most whine from the factory.

Mine was $150. The skyline 3.9 that is, not my 4.11s. I'm not too sure on cost differences between SS and LSD Skyline diffs, but if you could source a cheap Ford LSD the skyline gears will fit in fine with this. You swap the centres over rather than the entire diff.

Take heed of this post, before someone else gets to say I told you so.

$150? is that all!. Thats a pretty cheap and easy mod to do then, just one more question. Did the R31 skylines have ABS or not, as im after a non ABS diff. If the R31 skylines do have ABS, would it be possible to mount the connections of the ABS diff into a non ABS car?

cheers

As said above, you can't fit an R31 diff in an E-Series, you just replace the diff centre.
